Every week The Register tosses a thick circular wrapped in plastic on the sidewalk in front of every house in Westville, and probably in other neighborhoods. This littering. Virtually no one picks these up and they get wet and rot very slowly where they are. The issue was taken up on " Next Door" and someone said you can call The Register and have your name removed from their list. But most of us were never on a subscription list. We don't get the paper. And, in any event, the circulars are tossed at every house on the sidewalk or in the driveway or on the lawn. If they were put in mailboxes, they would be nuisance. But flung onto the sidewalk, they are essentially littering on a large scale. Last year, I wrote a few times to The Register but got no reply. I have also spoken to an alderman, but nothing has come of it. I feel pretty sure it's not legal, but you would know better. Thanks for your help.
