I know my concern will be dismissed (again), but whoever posted the "No Parking/Tow Zone" signs for tomorrow's street sweeping in Fair Haven Heights has once again done an inadequate job. If you are going to tag and tow people who live in this neighborhood, you must do a better job notifying them that the sweeping will take place. And, again, I'll be told to verify I'm on a call list--if I get calls from the city for all issues except street sweeping, I think there's a problem in the system (not that I'm not registered for calls, which I am). Between Howard & E Grand, there is a sign stapled to a tree. After that tree, there is NO SIGNAGE. Yes, duct-taping paper signs to the stop sign at the intersection is inefficient and unattractive, but at least it alerts people to the fact that there will be tagging and towing. If I had not had a passenger in the car who spotted the tree sign while my eyes were focused elsewhere (i.e., the road), I would not even know the signs were posted because there is NOTHING in the parking range from that tree to the corner. Bad job.
