Hi Neighbors, I wanted to you to know that 97-99 Howe and 95 Howe are slated for demolition, to be replaced with a 6-story apartment building. The Friends of the Dwight Historic District supports development of the property, though we oppose demolition of the building as they are on National Register of Historic Places. We believe there is enough room to build an apt. complex behind the buildings on the empty parking lot, while restoring the homes for adaptive reuse, which would be a win for the neighborhood, New Haven, and the developer.
